As a writer, I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming the publishing journey can be. I started out, with no network, no trusted mentors—just a passion for my book and a deep confusion about what came next. I built this network for writers like me — frustrated, overwhelmed, and tired of digging through endless Facebook posts and advice threads, only to lose the one thing that actually helped. I knew people were out there who genuinely wanted to contribute — who had real experience to share — but they had no platform beyond a fleeting comment or buried suggestion. And the service providers who could help? They were scattered across hundreds of websites, messy spreadsheets and impossible-to-navigate directories.
This space is here to fix that: a clear, lasting platform where helpers, experts, and fellow writers can connect — and where good advice doesn’t disappear. Writing my book was the easy part—publishing it was a minefield I wasn’t prepared for. Even now, despite the importance of the topic I wrote about, I still don’t have a single review. That shouldn’t happen to any writer, but that experience lit a fire in me.
I created these two free resources to help other writers not have to go it alone. I am hoping the providers and contributors out there will benefit from building these resources for you:
- YourBookSupport.com is a service provider directory designed to bring clarity to the chaos. Writers can search for exactly what they need and read real reviews from other authors—no guesswork, no pressure, just support.
- TheBookBoosters.com is a knowledge-sharing guidance library filled with practical advice, topic articles, tips, and links from experienced contributors. It’s categorized for easy browsing and tagged with cross-cutting themes like Writing Wisdom and Gotcha Moments—the kinds of things that help you avoid costly missteps and take the right steps, in the right order.
I built these platforms to give other writers what I never had: honest guidance, reliable support, and a true sense of community. I hope you find them as helpful as I am sure they will be, for my future work. And should you want to check out my book on the breakup of lifetime friendships and families over political rhetoric, you will find that under the Offerings tab on my site.
