I’ve revised my draft so many times that I’ve lost perspective. Some days it feels polished, other days it feels like I’m just making changes to avoid finishing.
How do experienced authors decide when it’s time to stop editing and move on to publishing — or let it go completely?

This is such a common challenge — you’re not alone!
For me, I realized my book was finished when:
-
I was making style changes, not substance fixes
-
I had no major story or structural complaints from beta readers
-
My edits were starting to go in circles, undoing earlier decisions
I also gave myself a deadline and stuck to it. At some point, progress becomes perfectionism. If you’re 90% confident, and readers aren’t confused or bored, it’s probably ready. Trust yourself.
