I’m preparing to publish my book on both Amazon KDP and IngramSpark, but I’m not sure how to format the print edition so that it meets the specs of both platforms.
Is there a way to create one file that works for both? Or do I need to design separate interiors for each?
I’d love advice from anyone who’s done this efficiently.

Great question! You can usually use the same trim size and interior file for both platforms if you follow KDP’s specs and avoid using their cover templates.
Just make sure:
Margins meet Ingram’s tighter print tolerance
Fonts are fully embedded
You export as PDF/X-1a if possible
Bonus tip: Ingram requires a barcode on the back cover, while KDP can generate one for you — so design with that in mind.
